This cel is from OVA 2. Ashura watches a dancer near Taishakuten's castle, and suddenly Gigei's face is super-imposed over the dancer's. If you haven't read the manga, you probably missed this reference ^_^. Gigei was a dancer who wished to perform a ceremony that was supposed to bring joy to the land, the Rite of Stars. Warning, spoilers for the manga below! Here is yet more info on Gigei: Ashura saw a dancer practicing a clearing in the woods near Yasha's camp, and the dancer (Gigei) realized she was being watched. Gigei sneaks up on Yasha and Ashura and puts a sword to Yasha's throat, much to the suprise of both. Gigei agrees to let Yasha and Ashura go if Yasha promises to stay with her for as long as she wishes. We later discover that Gigei saw Yasha six years before, and she fell in love with him. She was determined not to make the same mistake as her mother, who married a man she did not love (and died a terrible death; she was forced to dance to her death by her husband). Gigei was convinced that Yasha would come to love her. Ashura and Gigei became good friends, and it was Gigei who gave Ashura her white outfit and the golden hair clasp that Ashura wears for the rest of the series. Gigei is later killed by Taishakuten's soldiers as she performs the Rite of Stars.
